About our school

Welcome to St Mary of Charity, where everyone is included and valued. We are a nurturing community where, through creative learning, acceptance and celebration, all are able to flourish. We encourage our children to be curious, ambitious and courageous, growing in confidence and aspiring to reach their full potential. Guided by Jesus, we embrace diversity and support one another with respect, honesty and forgiveness, preparing our children to celebrate and advocate for others in the wider world.

St Mary of Charity is a smaller than average primary school, serving the market town of Faversham. The school is divided in to 7 classes, teaching children aged from 4 to 11 years. Our school has four houses with Year 6 pupils leading the children in their house: Pippin (Green), Russet (Blue), Gala (Red), Spartan (Yellow).

Our Christian ethos is very important to us and enables children and staff to learn and succeed together.

The school shares its site with St Mary's Playgroup and we are lucky enough to share outside learning space with Queen Elizabeth Grammar School.

St Mary of Charity converted to academy status on the 1st August 2015 with the Canterbury Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust, Aquila.
