PE and Sport Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

This year, we are working hard to broaden and deepen the children's quality experiences in P.E in line with our School Improvement Plan. So for the academic year 2017/18 we have employed a range of specialist provision to ensure the P.E our children experience is of the highest quality.


Here is our plan for our spending for the spending of our Sports' Premium Funding for the Academic Year 2017/18:

Please see below for the PE experiences our children have had so far this academic year:


All children in Year 1 to Year 6 will have a Term of Swimming and will visit the Jubilee Centre for a Term to take part in Gymnastics lessons. We are very lucky to have such specialist facilities in our local area and so we try to give every child the opportunity to use them to develop their skills.


During Term 1, we had the following external coaches/specialists in during our PE Lessons:

* Football: Year 1 and 2

* Yoga : Year R, 1 and 2


Every child in school also took part in a taster session for Judo and we now have a Judo club at school.


In Term 2, the specialist coaches/teachers are teaching:

* Netball: Year 3 and 4

* Dance: Year R, 1 and 2



In Terms 3 and 4 specialist coaches will run,


* Hockey:for Year 1 and 2

* Yoga:  for Years R, 1 and 2


In Terms 5 and 6

* Year 3 and 4 will attend Tennis lessons at Faversham Tennis Ground

* Year R, 5 and 6 will be taught Yoga by a qualified teacher- as will the staff!

Swimming- The percentage of children who can swim 25m by the end of year 6 for the academic year 2017/18 is 22/28 pupils (79%)
